Drink Lots of Water
Drinking plenty of water before, during, and after your Thanksgiving feast is important for a couple of reasons. First, the brain often interprets thirst for hunger, which can lead to overeating if you haven’t drunk enough. Second, drinking plenty of water on Thanksgiving day will help you digest your meal.
Put Plenty of Vegetables on Your Plate
No Thanksgiving feast is complete without a wide array of tasty vegetables. When it comes time to fix your plate, be sure not to pass up these healthy and delicious food choices. The more you fill up on healthy vegetables, the less you will want to over-indulge on high-fat food items.
Increase Your Activity During the Holidays
Gaining unwanted weight during the holiday season is a common problem. If you are taking in more calories then you are burning off, you’re going to gain weight, and the Thanksgiving is certainly a time where most people consume a lot more calories than normal. One easy way to offset this, though, is to exercise more as well.
