At EA Certs, the BLS Skills Only / HeartCode BLS course that we offer is a self-directed eLearning program certified by the American Heart Association. By making use of eSimulation technology, this comprehensive course is able to present students with realistic patient scenarios while they work from the comfort of their own home.
Students who attend our HeartCode BLS course will need to complete five unique BLS cases and an online multiple-choice exam. Completing the five BLS cases will require students to assess each patient, create a treatment plan that is based on 2015 BLS guidelines, and then provide treatment to the patient.
The HeartCode BLS course can be broken down into three parts. Part 1 entails a series of online training modules that can be completed at the student’s own pace. Part 2 entails practicing BLS skills and completing BLS cases, while Part 3 entails completing the online skills test. Students who complete all three parts of this course will then receive their American Heart Association BLS card.
